Web hosting ( what is that ? )
To make your company website accessible globally, it is a mandatory prerequesit to hire a server (alloted space on a computer) which has a permanent connection to the internet. This is called hosting. Hosting is also needed to provide a location for your computer to go when you type in a domain name.
Once you have approved the designs and functionality of the website we design and develop you can then
either pay for the completed website and we shall forward hardcopies of all the design and development we
have produced for you.
Or if you prefer we can upload the site onto the servers and host and maintain your website for you.With this option there will be the additional costs of hosting and maintenance.
When you contact us please let us know the size and nature of the website you would like designed and developed.
(e-commerce,magazine,mailing lists,number of pages,artwork,logo,animation...)
The web sites that we design, develop, host and maintain contain no ads, banners, pop-up windows or advertisments of any kind unless stipulated otherwise by yourselves. |

what is a domain name ?
A domain name is the internet address that you type into your browser's address or location bar when you want to visit a certain site.
Our domain name is

not confusing or forgetful.It is short concise and easy to remember.
A domain name is very important for every company web site. Internet addresses can be complicated, and if you don't have a domain name, then customers will never find you. A potential customer is far more likely to remember a domain name such as:-
'www.yourown-companyname.co.uk'
rather than:-
'www.what-was-it-called-again.co.uk'
They also look far more professional, especially for the promotion of your company,for advertising or vehicle signage. Domain names also allow you to have professional-looking e-mail addresses, such as:-
'you@yourcompanyname.co.uk',
through your hosting server or as many prefer, the use of e-mail forwarding can be set up for you. |
Web Servers ?
The web servers we use are powered by dual processors. AMD professional grade 64 bit Opteron 246s in most. The majority of our competitors use budget grade Intel Celeron machines that are barely suitable for word processing.
The network we use is connected to the internet backbone by multiple gigabit (1000 megabit) internet links. A high speed DSL or cable connection can generally upload in the 100 to 500 kilobit range (.1 to .5 megabit).

e-mail forwarding ( what is that ? )
With a domain name and hosting, it is possible to forward any e-mail sent to an address at your domain, such as:-
'info@yourcompany.co.uk', to an existing e-mail account.
This means that instead of your clients or customers having to remember a long and very unprofessional-looking e-mail address.such as:-
'a.person@i-cannot-remember-that-address.co.uk'
So e-mail forwarding allows you to continue to use an existing email account.
Any email messages that are sent to your 'new' address
(e.g. info@yourcompany.co.uk),
is automatically redirected to your existing address, just like traditional postal forwarding.
You can set-up several named forwarders:-
(e.g. you@yourcompany.co.uk)
to forward to an existing email addresses
(e.g. you@excite.com).
Now all your customers or prospective clients have to do is just remember your domain name. The fact that e-mail is forwarded automatically means that you have the ability to change your Internet Service Provider (ISP) without having the worry of changing your e-mail addresses on printed media, adverts or vehicle sinage.
